- Welcome to the Skadden Insider, a blog created to collect and pass along (and sometimes comment on) the gossip and news making its way through the halls of a certain law firm's offices. We're not disgruntled and we don't have an axe to grind. We just thought a Skadden blog would be fun. Hopefully it will be. Oh, and although we are employed by Skadden, this blog is done on our own time and has no affiliation with the firm.

While I'm sure the Skadden Hottest Female Associate was conceived in good fun, I question whether or not this is a side of Skadden that you really want represented to the outside world? Does it only serve to confirm the belief that lawyers are neandrathal, money-grubbing, boorish over-achievers who are eager to turn the clock back on equal opportunity ? Doesn't it leave the impression that in spite of their training to be weighty thinkers and upholders of the Constitution , Skadden attorneys think nothing of demeaning and objectifying 50% of the population? I hope none of you has daughters who grow up to be subjected to this sort of treatment . Shame on you.
